Providing counselling in London
For over a decade I have specialised in working exclusively with young people. Following the completion of an MSc degree at Birkbeck, University of London, I’ve become a counsellor to teenagers and young adults in my practice. I also work with these age groups across different settings in schools, colleges, and universities.
I am an experienced, warm counsellor with a great track record of connecting well with young people. I have helped many work-through difficult issues like the depression and anxiety sometimes connected to early adulthood. I have also helped many resolve issues relating to eating disorders, self-harming, suicide ideation, and sexual abuse.
Before I became a counsellor, my BSC degree led to a career in the television news industry where I have worked for many years.
It has been proven that our early life experiences go a long way towards impacting and shaping our behaviour and how we respond to life. I understand the considerable role early support from counselling can offer when a young person struggles with an emotional issue.
In other areas of work, I have encountered individuals who suffered trauma during childhood but had no access to therapy. This has left them as functioning but unstable adults. I value the early support that I can offer as a young person’s counsellor.
Counselling is the space to safely unpick, explore and understand your emotional pain and struggles as a young person, this helps you feel empowered and gain a secure sense of self.
I am an empathic counsellor who is passionate about my work with young people and a great believer in your mental and emotional well-being.
